Amanda Cammuso

Amanda began dancing at the young age of two and has never stopped. Growing up in the Syracuse Area, she studied various dance styles at The Dance Studio CNY where she competed in Tap and Jazz. Amanda was on the Baldwinsville Varsity gymnastics team throughout high school; being captain her senior year. Amanda continued dancing into college where she was a member of The College at Brockport’s DanceTeam and also the Sankofa African Dance and Drum Ensemble – a traveling group. Amanda enrolled in multiple dance classes while at Brockport and was featured in many dance department performances. She earned a bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology and Human Performance and is also an ACSM certified personal trainer currently training at the YMCA.

After college Amanda danced for the Rochester Razor Sharks; a semi-pro basketball team. She was an active Lady Shark for three seasons performing at the Blue Cross Arena.

Amanda currently teaches Jazz, Hip Hop and tumble dance styles for recreational and competitive dancers. Her competition dance groups have received multiple high score and special awards such as “Most Entertaining” dance over the past 3 years at local and regional competitions.

Amanda is the Director of the Syracuse Silver Knights Dance and Promotional Team. Amanda established the first ever cheer team for the Professional Soccer organization three seasons ago and will be entering her fourth season this August. Amanda not only leads the lady Knights but choreographs multiple routines for every game, performs on the field and coordinates various community and appearance events for the Knights throughout the year. Amanda keeps busy during the Silver Knight off season by dancing for the Syracuse Strong Semi Pro Football team; which whom she is the choreographer as well. This is her second year with the Strong.

Amanda loves yoga and recently started studying partner acro yoga with a local instructor. She loves staying healthy and fit in all ways possible and is passionate aboutIMG_20160223_210807
