Jessie Bocchino

Jessie has been dancing since she was 10 years old. Her passion and drive for dance grew instantaneously when she stepped foot in her first jazz class at The Movement Box Dance Studio. In 2014, she was awarded the TMB Elite scholarship. This gave her the ability to spend countless hours in the studio where she became versatile in many dance styles. As her passion for dance bloomed, She became a company dancer, and competition teammate as well. She competed in many regional competitions such as, Groove, Elite Dance Challenge, and Empire Dance challenge, where she was successful for many group routines, duets, and solos. She also attended many dance conventions with her teammates to broaden her dance education.

Jessie was given the opportunity to work backstage at Empire Dance Challenge, where she managed awards for the entire competition weekend, while establishing relationships with other dance colleagues. For 3 years, Jessie was a class assistant for multiple children’s classes and hip hop classes at TMB. This is where she learned how to manage a class, clean dance routines, and help students with any questions throughout the year. She created such a bond with the students in these classes that she was motivated to inspire other dancers like herself and teach on her own!

When Jessie isn’t in the studio she is spending time with her family, researching about all of her indoor plants, or throwing on the pottery wheel.
